Oral history interview and collection, 2003.

The Adeline L. Levin collection consists of two audiocassettes and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Levin and Rhys Gaffer in 2003. The general topic of the interview is the wartime experiences of a woman involved in the first ever U.S. Army's Women's Auxiliary Army Corps and later the Women's Army Corps (WAAC/WAC) during its creation at the beginning of World War II. The interview goes into details of the stateside activities of the Corps and the impact women had in helping the national war effort. This oral history interview was conducted as part of the South Central Minnesota Veterans History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato. This interview was a component of Honors 450: South Central Minnesota Veterans History Project.
